Welcome to LET'S RIDE! Motorcycle training centre!Started in April 2004 by the school’s Chief Instructor, Richard McPherson, LET'S RIDE! has built up a reputation for outstanding pass rates and quality tuition. Richard has been riding bikes for over 17 years, both on the road and the track and is not only a fully qualified DSA approved instructor for Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) and Direct Access but is also an Advanced Riding Examiner for the Driving Instructors Association (DIA). Richard has also successfully passed the new Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Special Test for Motorcycle Instructors - a rigorous 90 minute examination in machine control, road craft and hazard awareness. With such a tremendous variation in teaching quality from school to school, particularly on Standard Test & Direct Access courses, Richard has devised his own syllabus - maintaining strict guidelines which all of the school's instructors must adhere too. Instructional techniques are continuously honed taking guidance from local examiners and DSA headquarters. All equipment is meticulously maintained to give the school's pupils the best start possible in their riding careers. The philosophy of LET'S RIDE! is not to simply get a pupil through their test but to take them way above the minimum standard required to pass the DSA examination. Because of this, LET'S RIDE! pupils enjoy a first time pass rate rivalled by none. The school also utilises a specially lowered Kawasaki motorcycle allowing anyone from 5'1" upwards to obtain their unrestricted licence. LET'S RIDE! currently cover the Poole, Bournemouth, Dorchester, Yeovil & Salisbury test centres for the full licence courses, with our Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) sites located in Canford Heath & Parkstone. All the LET'S RIDE! instructors have a huge passion for motorcycling and for passing that knowledge on to new riders. Not only are the courses highly informative but the atmosphere is always very friendly and fun. Richard invites all people to learn to ride a motorcycle and enjoy the total feeling of freedom that riding a bike can bring… ** IN OCTOBER 2008 THE MOTORCYCLE TEST IS CHANGING** In October 2008 scooter and motorcycle licence legislation will take a new turn. Students will have to travel further, pay more and perform new tasks to pass their test. So if you've always talked about getting a bike, or are still riding on a CBT licence, go for it now and save yourself £££'s. For more information visit the Motor Cycle Industry Association website.
